About Us
We are here to help you with your legal needs. Let us make your life a little easier.
At Lotspeich Law, we are proud to serve the Central Missouri community with legal representation rooted in integrity, innovation, and a deep commitment to client care. Led by our founding attorney Amanda Lotspeich, our firm focuses on family law matters with an expanding practice in personal injury. Whether guiding clients through divorce, custody, or support issues—or advocating for those injured through no fault of their own—we approach every case with compassion, clear communication, and practical legal solutions.
As a solo practitioner, Amanda works closely with a trusted team that includes a dedicated paralegal and legal assistant, ensuring each client receives responsive and personalized attention throughout their case. We utilize technology to streamline processes, improve communication, and deliver a modern legal experience that puts clients first.
Amanda obtained her Juris Doctor (JD) from the University of Missouri–Kansas City School of Law. She also holds a Master of Science in Management from Baker University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Central Missouri—a university located in the very community in which she now practices law. Her educational background strengthens the firm’s business-minded approach to legal problem-solving and case strategy.
Before attending law school, Amanda spent nearly a decade in the insurance industry, working for Farmers Insurance and Travelers Insurance. As part of that experience, she managed personal injury claims, gaining firsthand insight into how insurance companies evaluate and resolve cases. She also earned her AINS (Associate in Insurance) designation from The Institutes, a respected credential in the field. This unique experience informs her advocacy today, particularly as she expands her practice into personal injury law.
At Lotspeich Law, we believe legal services should be as accessible and forward-thinking as the people we represent. We are honored to support families and individuals in our community with professionalism, care, and a commitment to results.
Family Law - Areas of Practice
High Net-Worth Divorces
If you or your spouse has accumulated significant assets or a complex estate during the course of your marriage, we understand how important it is to diligently and thoroughly protect your interest in those assets. In cases where litigation and trial are necessary, you can be certain that your interests will be aggressively and effectively protected by our skilled Attorney.
Modifications of Past Judgments
It is important to know that matters that were once agreed upon by you and your spouse or ruled upon by a judge can still be modified in the future. Navigating through this complex case on your own is nearly impossible, and you must have support from the start. By working with Amanda, a seasoned family law attorney, you can protect your child’s well-being and your parental rights under Missouri law.
Child Support and Spousal Support
If you have a child with someone you are no longer in a relationship with, there are likely custody, parenting time, and child support issues to legally settle. Child support is ordered in both divorces and in cases where parties were never married, otherwise known as paternity actions. Typically, child support is calculated by Missouri’s Form 14, however, the parties are able to deviate by agreement. Additionally, the court can deviate from the Form 14 by taking into account factors, such as the increased transportation costs incurred because of one parent’s relocation.
In Missouri, alimony is known as maintenance. Missouri’s courts have wide discretion in determining whether or not spousal maintenance should be awarded and the amount and duration of maintenance. Maintenance is not an absolute right, and the party requesting maintenance must prove to the court that they need help to provide for their reasonable needs. Maintenance is governed by Sect. 452.335 RSMo.
Don’t take it from us, take it from them!

I was intimidated, scared and hopeless until I spoke with her and she assured me everything was going to be ok. Her drive, determination, focus and demeanor speaks for itself. I highly recommend Mrs. Lotspeich!
